The problem

Industry
Compliance software
Location
West Chester, Pennsylvania

Comply PRO+’s super admin tools lived inside the same Laravel app as the customer-facing product, which made privileged workflows hard to separate.

Access logic was spread across the monolith, so admin features were hard to understand or change on their own.

The new admin had to behave like the old one, and the extraction couldn’t disrupt the existing product or duplicate business logic.

The React front end and the Laravel back end ran on separate domains, so the cross-domain setup had to be dependable in every environment.

What we built

Technologies

  • Laravel
  • React
  • REST APIs
  • Multi-Domain Architecture
  • Automated Testing

We first mapped the rules, validations and edge cases behind the old admin workflows, then added focused REST endpoints to the back end.

We rebuilt the super admin interface in React to match the old one, keeping the familiar flows and validation behavior.

We hardened CORS and environment configuration across deployments and backed the migration with automated tests.

The result

The super admin now runs as its own React application, separate from the monolith. Admin users kept the workflows they knew, on code that’s easier to maintain.

The rollout stayed stable across environments and landed with 75%+ unit test coverage. The team now has a tested way to split out more of the monolith.
