A storefront rebuilt after 20+ second page loads
CleanItSupply sells wholesale cleaning, janitorial and restaurant supplies online to consumers and businesses, from small orders to bulk.

| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Page loads | 20+ seconds | A React single-page app |
| Architecture | Tightly coupled ASP.NET | Decoupled, with a REST API |
| Search | Nextopia | SearchSpring |
The problem

The store ran on an outdated ASP.NET site with a tightly coupled front end and back end. Pages took 20+ seconds to load, which hurt engagement and conversion.
Slow pages that search engines struggled to read also lowered search rankings. The platform limited how far the business could grow.
CleanItSupply had no front-end expertise in-house, so it needed a team that could own the new interface.
The front end also had to be split from the ASP.NET back end, which needed a new way to serve it data.
What we built
We rebuilt the front end in React.js as a much faster single-page app, with a new REST API to serve it data.
We moved search from Nextopia to SearchSpring, so customers get more relevant results and the team can manage products and promotions more cleanly.
The result
CleanItSupply
We’ve worked with many consulting firms, but finding one that delivers strong results and genuinely cares about our success is rare. The Amalgam team was responsive and easy to work with.

With the front end and back end decoupled, updates and new features are easier to ship, and the site can scale.
