PFA’s outdated platform slowed insurance agents and administrators. Onboarding, reporting and admin tasks were done by hand, and the system couldn’t handle complex data relationships.
Rigid reports and a confusing interface made the data hard to use. Inconsistent data gave the business a weak basis for decisions.
Commission payouts ran on the insurance-agent hierarchy data, so the work had to keep that data intact while it moved to a new database and new business rules.
The old process risked paying incentives inaccurately or unfairly, and the new system had to remove that risk.
What we built
We started from the existing application, moved its data from MySQL to PostgreSQL and cleaned it.
We added agent-management fields to the Java data layer, and built new admin and reporting logic for onboarding, team communication and incentives.
A reworked admin interface lets agents and administrators manage reports, profiles and hierarchy changes more easily.
We also moved team email to an encrypted server with backups.
The result
Administrators now build custom agent-performance reports. Commission payouts, once done by hand, now run automatically from the insurance-agent hierarchy, with the data intact.
