An accessible, personalized website for a US consumer bank
Barclays Bank US needed a consumer website that could clearly explain its banking products and the security behind them.

| Personalization | None | Rules-based banking tools |
The problem
- Industry
- Banking
- Location
- New York, New York
The old site was outdated and hard to use, and it didn’t meet accessibility standards.
It had no personalization for different customer needs and struggled to explain the bank’s advantages and security.
The new site had to meet WCAG accessibility standards and stay responsive across devices while keeping a modern design.
Marketing teams also needed to update content without the slow deployments of the old setup.
What we built
We redesigned the site with accessible images and page indicators.
A personalization layer added banking tools such as goal setters, FDIC maximizers and CD ladder builders, alongside rate comparisons and product bundles.
Magnolia CMS delivers rules-based content and images across the site, with support for infographics, video, blogging and social content.
The result
The site meets WCAG standards across devices. Savings, CDs and the bank’s security are now clearer on the homepage and product pages.
Magnolia CMS made content updates easier and less dependent on deployments.
