This is a major product signal: adoption does not fail only when value is low. It also fails when confidence is brittle.
When asked whether AI had moved them toward their stated goal, 81% said yes. That is strong evidence that users can already get meaningful outcomes.
At the same time, interview patterns show recurring tensions around dependency, mistakes, and trust. The opportunity is real, but so is the fragility.
If users are asking for better decisions, less cognitive load, and more control over time, your roadmap should optimize for those outcomes directly.
In practice, that means defining the user win in plain language first, then shaping the AI interaction around reliability and clarity.
Teams often frame trust as policy or legal overhead. In reality, trust is part of product quality. If users cannot predict where AI is strong, weak, or risky, they will limit usage even when the feature is useful.
The practical takeaway is simple: show boundaries, preserve user control, and make failure recovery obvious.
